Vision

Values

Founded by Algonquin College’s Social Innovation Lab, The Green Loop Club is a social enterprise committed to promoting sustainable practices.

The Initiative

Brainstorming various products to reduce waste wasn’t ideal, as it still led to new production. Instead, we shifted our focus to services that minimize consumption altogether. The idea started with a simple bag of lanyards sitting in the corner of the lab. What seemed like forgotten event materials sparked a social innovation—turning waste into a sustainable solution. From that bag, The Green Loop Club was born, creating an initiative that reduces waste and promotes responsible consumption.

The Green Loop Club offers eco-friendly event solutions by providing reusable lanyards. Traditional single-use lanyards contribute to environmental degradation due to their production from non-biodegradable materials. By opting for reusable alternatives, event organizers can significantly reduce waste and minimize their ecological footprint.

Our process is straightforward: inform us of the quantity you need, collect them from Algonquin College’s Social Innovation Lab, and return as many as possible after your event. This initiative not only cuts costs but also fosters a culture of sustainability within the community.

To rent lanyards, contact us or visit the Social Innovation Lab for pricing details. Pricing varies based on quantity.
